KIRUHURA YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT

In terms of age distribution, the National Population and Housing Census (NPHC) 2014 found that youth in Uganda between 18-30 years consists of 22.5%. Kiruhura District has been the champion of youth concerns and addressed at all levels of leadership. The District is further determined to improve youth welfare through promotion and implementation of goverment programmes such as Youth Livelihood programe, youth in politics and other key interventions like wealth creation, Community Driven Development. A number of youth groups have embraceand benefited from the Youth Livelivehood Programme since it was lauched two years ago. The District pledges to continuously work with youth representatives all levels in order to address their social needs for the improved social welfare and economic development.
